North York Hearts asks players, families and team officials to work together to create a calm and respectful match-day environment. From preparation at home to post-game recovery, small actions can make a big difference to every player’s experience.

Players should normally arrive 30 minutes before kickoff unless the coach provides a different time. Check in with the team staff and report any illness, injury, medication need or concussion concern before warm-up begins.

Players should respect teammates, opponents and officials, while parents remain in designated spectator areas and provide positive encouragement. Let the players play and the coaches coach.

Players should cool down, collect their equipment and leave the area tidy. Injuries, misconduct or safety incidents should be reported through the club’s appropriate process as soon as possible. Players are also encouraged to reflect on what they enjoyed, what they learned and what they want to try next.
