More Play. More Smiles. More Soccer.
Looking for a fun way to keep your child active during the colder months? North York Hearts brings children together to play soccer, make friends and learn new skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Our two recreational programs offer age-appropriate activities with one shared purpose: helping children enjoy the game without pressure. Beginners and experienced players are welcome!
U6–U8: Little Players, Big Discoveries
Give your child a welcoming start to soccer! Designed for children ages 6 to 8, this program builds confidence through fun activities and games. No previous soccer experience is needed.
At North York Hearts, we use Funino to make learning soccer feel like play. With smaller groups and four goals to explore, children enjoy more touches on the ball and more chances to dribble, pass and score. These games encourage young players to find space, make decisions and work together all while enjoying themselves.
Our coaching team guides activities that develop balance, coordination and basic movement skills alongside soccer skills. The focus is on discovery and participation in a competition-free environment, where children feel comfortable trying something new.
Parents support their children at the beginning of the program to help them settle in and feel ready to join the fun.
A happy first step into soccer, with room to learn and grow.
U9–U13: Show Up, Join In and Play
Does your child love playing soccer or want to give it a try? Our U9–U13 program brings the relaxed, friendly feel of summer recreational house league into the fall and winter.
Everyone registered in the same program option joins one group. Coaches organize teams during each session so children can enjoy scrimmages throughout the evening. There are no fixed season-long teams just plenty of opportunities to get involved and enjoy the game.
Sessions follow a Game–Activity–Activity–Game (GAAG) format, combining soccer games with brief, age-appropriate skill activities. Children receive helpful coaching, practice their skills and put them into action when play resumes.
All skill levels are welcome. Whether your child is learning the basics or building on existing skills, they can play, improve and make friends without the pressure of competitive soccer.
The game they love, with space to learn and freedom to enjoy it.
